Ironbridge, with its World Heritage Status, world famous first iron bridge and beautiful setting, is a popular tourist destination. You could easily combine your course with us with a short break or longer holiday as there are lots of options for accommodation. Things to do

There is plenty to do and see in the area. Ironbridge itself has ten museums to visit, as well as the famous bridge and cafes and shops in the High Street. The bustling towns of Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury are all just a short drive away. Telford Centre, just a few minutes away by car, has a shopping centre with a choice of restaurants, an ice rink, bowling alley, two cinemas and a fantastic town park.

Butterbelle run workshops showing you how to make delicious nut butters at their shop in Maws Craft Centre, Jackfield

Bicycles By Design run 5-day frame building courses. So if your partner wants to learn to build a bike frame you might want to join me on a bread course for one of those days and visit the museums and local towns on others.

Kinki Glass offers fused glass workshops from her studio in the Fusion building, Jackfield (near Ironbridge).

The Small Woods Association runs woodland management courses and workshops learning how to make things out of wood from baskets to milking stools. They are based at The Greenwood Centre which is a five minute drive away from Veg Patch Kitchen.

The Severn Gorge Countryside Trust manages over half the land in Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site and has an outdoor learning programme that includes walks and lots of one day courses from singing in the gorge to abstract art.

Maws Craft Centre in Jackfield has a selection of craft shops, galleries and a cafe.  Several of the artisans working out of the centre offer courses throughout the year.
